ANALYSIS: Science World

Shake hands with yourself

With this exhibit it was designed without any moving parts and it was one of the two sections that incorporate light and mirrors to visually change perspectives.

Its created out of a wood and plastic mix, and glass for the mirror. Its intention is for the user to sit and look forward, it doesn't envole any rapid physical movement, therefore the exhibition would be easy to maintain.

It's designed for a quick interaction with the user, and its really in and out. The user will look forward and try to understand what is happening with the light and the mirror, while it looks like your hand is projecting towards you, so you are able to shake hands with yourself.

This exhibition worked extremely well because it can last nearly forever, and it can act as a resting place, where  you can just stop and absorb the information. It's isolated in a darker area where there isn't a lot of traffic flow, and it teaches kids about playing with perspective.
